Rocket Lab is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure to lead a global team delivering scalable, secure IT solutions for a fast-growing space company. You will shape infrastructure strategy across on-prem and cloud environments while ensuring compliance and security for critical programs.

You will manage 24x7 operations, partner with Space Systems and Launch Ops leaders, and drive vendor relationships, with travel up to 30%. Competitive base pay and stock participation are included.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT infrastructure experience with Ops, Data Centers, Virtualization, O365, Networks, Support, and Security.
• IT leadership in a globally diverse organization.
• Experience in high tech, engineering and/or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high performing, globally distributed IT engineering team.
• Lead compute, storage, network, OS, and DevOps strategies to support engineering initiatives.
• Define IT infrastructure priorities with Space Systems and Launch Operation leaders.
• Oversee global on-prem and cloud infrastructure with high availability and security compliance.
• Foster vendor relationships and negotiate IT software/hardware agreements.
• Develop 24x7 global support model and travel up to 30% as needed.
