Job summary

Moove AV, a leader in autonomous mobility, seeks a Director of Employee Relations & HR Compliance based in Phoenix, AZ. You will architect global compliance, SOPs, and employment policies across US, EMEA, and APAC, while partnering with legal and finance to ensure regulatory alignment.

You will lead complex investigations, manage immigration compliance, and shape a high-integrity workplace culture as the company expands.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 7 years dedicated to Employee Relations, HR Compliance, or Employment Law.
• Experience managing ER, global employment contracts, and immigration in EMEA and APAC.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or Master’s in HR/Labor Relations is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR compliance strategy for global expansion, designing foundational HR protocols and risk-mitigation frameworks as the company scales into new international markets.
• Design and implement SOPs for global HR compliance processes, ensuring clear communication of policy changes to leaders and employees.
• Oversee the global background screening program, ensuring compliance with FCRA, state laws, and international standards; manage pre-adverse and adverse action processes.
• Partner with Payroll/Finance to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and global pay standards.
• Oversee government reporting/audits (EEO-1, state pay data, international filings).
• Monitor and interpret employment laws (GDPR, US/EMEA/APAC) and update policies accordingly.
• Draft responses to legal claims with internal/external counsel; maintain updated handbooks and policies.
• Design and maintain compliant offer letters, employment agreements, confidentiality/IP agreements, and covenants.
• Oversee mobility and immigration compliance, visa sponsorship, I-9/E-Verify checks, and immigration counsel relationships.
• Oversee leave programs (FMLA, state leaves) across regions; manage ADA accommodations and safety programs.
• Lead investigations into sensitive issues; manage terminations and severance as needed.
• Track ER trends globally to identify root causes and training needs.
