Job summary

Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Director, Commercial Distribution Operations to lead global distribution and end-to-end channel management for Ionis finished goods. Location can be onsite in Carlsbad, CA or Boston, MA, or remote with travel.

The role collaborates with ERP/OTC teams to optimize order-to-cash and ensure regulatory compliance across markets. A high-performing team will be built to support launches and ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in domestic/global pharma supply chain and distribution.
• Experience managing 3PL and distribution networks.
• Proven leadership of technical teams responsible for day-to-day distribution activities.
• Hands-on ERP/IT integration experience across complex supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end distribution strategy for Ionis products with 3PL partners.
• Oversee daily 3PL operations to ensure GxP compliance and distribution activities.
• Support OTC processes and ERP initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA deployments.
• Collaborate across Supply Chain, Commercial, Regulatory, and Finance to enable launches.
• Develop and manage licensing initiatives and compliance for state/global operations.
