Job summary

New Energy Nexus is seeking a Director of Development Strategy & Operations for a full-time remote role. You will lead global fundraising strategy, translate frontline intelligence into prioritized plans, and coordinate with country directors and program leads to focus on high-value opportunities.

You will build and lead the platform-level development team, manage proposals, maintain CRM systems, and ensure timely, high-quality fundraising outputs across markets while partnering with the CEO on

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in fundraising, development operations, or a closely related strategy/operations function (e.g., sales operations, revenue operations, or enablement), with at least 5 years touching nonprofit or philanthropic fundraising directly.
• Demonstrated experience turning frontline or field-level input into strategy and prioritization.
• Experience managing or closely coordinating a distributed team, including non-direct-report relationships (e.g., chapter or country-based staff).
• Strong track record with CRM/pipeline systems and translating data into decisions, not just dashboards.
• Familiarity with the climate, clean energy, or entrepreneurship support landscape is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising Strategy & Intelligence: develop a living, prioritized development strategy based on outcomes, funder conversations, and market signals.
• Team Coordination & Enablement: build and lead the global platform-level development team, translate strategy into rolling work plans, and coordinate across programs and chapters.
• Systems, Data & Reporting: own the fundraising CRM, produce dashboards, standardize templates, and track outcomes against strategy.
• SUCCESS IN THE FIRST 6–12 MONTHS: establish clear pipeline visibility, operating rhythm, and high-quality collateral library.
• Overall: ensure alignment across country leads, program leads, and fundraisers to maximize impact.
