Job summary

Anthropic is looking for a Director of Infrastructure Compute Procurement to oversee and establish procurement for its compute infrastructure assets. This role will manage supplier strategy, cost optimization, and category management for capital procurement portfolios across the US and internationally.

Ideal candidates have extensive procurement experience, particularly in data centers and compute infrastructure, with a proven ability to lead and improve processes in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in compute infrastructure, data center operations, or hyperscale supply chain.
• 8+ years of people management experience while building and scaling teams.
• Familiarity with data center colocation agreements and lease administration.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier relationships across compute hardware, negotiating pricing frameworks.
• Operationalize new entity for tax-optimized procurement of equipment.
• Lead finance procurement operations for domestic and international data center sites.
• Build and lead the Infrastructure Compute Procurement team.

Skills

Deep domain knowledge of compute infrastructure components

Experience managing capital-intensive procurement portfolios

Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes

Experience operating in SOX-compliant environments

Experience with international procurement operations

Proven track record of process improvement

Leadership and systems design influencing skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering
