Job summary

Fireworks AI seeks a Director of General Ledger Accounting to lead the GL function and own the month-end close. You will oversee NetSuite-based close, ensure accuracy and controls, and coordinate across accounting workstreams to deliver timely financial results.

You will combine strong GAAP knowledge with hands-on leadership to drive process improvements, multi-entity consolidation, and audit readiness as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting practices.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes.
• Ability to lead multiple accounting workstreams and resolve complex issues.
• Proven track record in internal controls and audit readiness.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for finance partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual GL close activities and calendar.
• Review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate across AP, revenue, AR, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, and tax teams.
• Serve as accounting lead for NetSuite, including governance and reporting.
• Drive process improvements to automate journal entries and close procedures.
• Develop and coach the GL accounting team to meet deadlines.
