Job summary

Group 1001 is seeking a Lead Applications Developer to direct a team of 4+ engineers across multiple member companies. You will contribute hands-on coding on critical-path work, conduct code reviews, prototype solutions, and ensure delivery aligns with sprint goals in an Agile Jira environment.

You will own product portfolio applications, oversee security posture, accessibility WCAG AA, regulatory compliance, and drive architecture health, DR, and CI/CD health on GitLab, while mentoring

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional full-stack software development.
• Experience in the financial services and/or insurance sector.
• Ability to lead a team of 4+ engineers and drive delivery.
• Deep experience with Angular, React, or Next.js.
• Proficient in Node.js/Express and Spring Boot, API design (REST/GraphQL).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on coding on critical-path work and code reviews.
• Product Owner for portfolio applications including security posture and WCAG AA compliance.
• Architectural health, DR planning and platform resilience.
• Ensure tooling access and integrations with IT, Security, and Identity teams.
• Lead sprint planning, story readiness, and deployment planning.
• Production support and on-call participation.
