Job summary

Globe Life is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead annual and strategic planning processes, ensuring accurate forecasts, robust variance analysis, and data-driven insights for executive leadership. The role drives automation, tool migrations (Anaplan to Workday Adaptive), and scalable planning across finance domains.

Located in McKinney, TX, this hybrid position requires strong ERP experience, US GAAP knowledge, and proven leadership to build high-performance FP&A

Qualifications

• Degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years in finance, including 5+ years leading an FP&A team.
• Experience in Financial Services or insurance preferred.
• Experience with large ERP/financial systems.
• Experience planning corporate performance management software; Workday Adaptive preferred.
• Excel proficiency with analytics/reporting.
• Data visualization experience (Tableau/Power BI).
• SQL skills to transform large data sets.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and corporate finance principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and strategic planning processes with high-quality forecasts and variance analysis.
• Oversee month/quarter/year-end reviews with executives and stakeholders.
• Drive system transformations, including migration from Anaplan to Workday Adaptive.
• Build scalable, automated planning processes and self-service analytics.
• Provide data-driven insights and communicate opportunities, risks, and improvements.
• Lead FP&A team with coaching and development.
