Job summary

Made Scientific seeks a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ERP improvements in a fast-growing cell therapy CDMO. This onsite role partners with Accounting, Operations, and leadership to drive data-driven decision-making and long-term financial performance.

The role owns the annual budget, monthly close, KPI reporting, project profitability, and ERP data governance, mentoring finance professionals in Princeton and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of finance, FP&A, accounting, or related analytical experience.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Experience analyzing results by customer, project, department, or reporting dimensions.
• Experience using ERP data to build reports and improve processes.
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and long-range planning processes.
• Lead monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, KPI reporting, project profitability analysis, and management commentary.
• Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, project margins, and other key metrics.
• Partner with department leaders to review actual results, understand drivers, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and cost/profit decisions.
• Oversee revenue and expense analysis by customer, project, department, or product line.
• Oversee project-level reporting, budget-to-actual, margin analysis, and forecast updates.
• Drive ERP reporting improvements and data integrity initiatives.
• Present strategic analyses to executives and lenders as needed.
