Job summary

BGRE is seeking a Director to lead North America Office FP&A, reporting to VP, Finance. Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning while contributing to forecasting and valuations. Lead a regional team, develop dynamic models, and present insights to executives and investors.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, advanced financial systems, and continuous improvement in processes across the North America portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience working in commercial office real estate preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and strategic planning.
• Proven ability to present complex financial information to senior executives and non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience with financial systems such as Yardi Voyage.
• Experience leading the adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve financial planning, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be flexible and dynamic as the business moves and changes are made.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the regional FP&A team of 3-5 employees delivering financial analysis.
• Own, manage and lead the strategic planning for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Develop comprehensive dynamic financial models to support planning and scenario analysis.
• Manage monthly and quarterly IFRS financial statement forecasting.
• Oversee quarterly leasing forecast and actuals, with expirations and assumptions.
• Partner with department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.
• Prepare, review, and present financials to upper management and investors.
• Champion enhancements in financial systems, tools, and processes.
• Coordinate with accounting during monthly close to review variances.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across asset management, lease admin, corporate services, marketing, IR.
• Oversee ad-hoc projects and evaluations of investment performance and returns.
• Strategically manage cash flow and equity allocations across portfolios.
• Advance strategic objectives across diversified portfolios.
• Provide input on staffing needs and coach direct reports.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture with regular feedback.
