Re:Build Manufacturing in the United States seeks a Director, Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a team of FDEs embedded across sites and the Resource Center. You will drive full-stack digital solutions that solve real-world problems and deliver measurable business impact.

You will hire, mentor, and align stakeholders, combining a strong software engineering background with people leadership to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and security. Travel up to 25% domestically.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading customer-facing software delivery and engineering programs.
• 2+ years of people leadership or technical leadership experience.
• 3-5 years hands-on software development with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with DevSecOps and SDLC methodologies.
• Fluency in AI technologies applied to software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for cross-functional delivery.
• Experience in manufacturing operations or engineering services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify digital opportunities.
• Prioritize digital solution opportunities by impact, feasibility, and alignment.
• Guide FDEs through technical decisions, reviews, and delivery across engagements.
• Define engineering standards for scalability, maintainability, and security.
• Build repeatable delivery assets, playbooks, and user documentation.
• Establish metrics to measure impact and gather feedback for improvement.
• Foster adoption of AI-assisted development tools across the team.
• Stay current on AI, Industry 4.0, and relevant SaaS trends.
• Travel up to 25% to domestic US customer sites.
