Job summary

Cursor seeks a Regional Director, Forward Deployed Engineering to lead and scale a team of FDEs across strategic enterprise accounts. You will own delivery, executive relationships, and戦 drive opportunities while mentoring engineers and building partner tracks with GSIs.

The role requires deep technical credibility and strong people leadership in a fast-paced enterprise setting. You will oversee a growing team, drive production-grade Cursor workflows, and ensure engagements stay tightly scoped,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship in production (Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar)
• Experience with software development and coding in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Built and owned AI-native workflows in production, not just prototypes
• Able to diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments and identify high-leverage interventions
• Built and scaled IC-level technical teams with strong scoping and delivery discipline

Responsibilities

• Sell engagements from technical discovery to executive close — partner with Sales and Account teams
• Lead architecture reviews, surface integration complexity and infrastructure constraints, and scope engagements to de-risk delivery
• Build and present proposals translating customer problems into concrete, time-boxed deliverables with ROI
• Manage delivery quality across engagements, track milestones, and ensure clean handoffs to customer engineering teams
• Build and scale the partner FDE track with GSI and consulting partners to extend motion at volume
