Job summary

Whitley Penn in Austin, TX seeks a Director for Forensic, Litigation, & Valuation Services to lead forensic accounting, litigation support and valuations related to marital property and other disputes.

You will manage assignments, coordinate with outside counsel, prepare reports, mentor staff, and help grow the practice through business development. CPA preferred; advanced degree a plus; 5+ years leadership in accounting/finance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA/advanced degree a plus.
• Broad knowledge in litigation/expert services related to damages.
• Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software.
• Strong communication, project management, and business development.

Responsibilities

• Direct forensic accounting, litigation support and valuation engagements.
• Identify issues, advise Managing Directors, and make strategic recommendations.
• Deliver complete reports with supporting documents for clients and attorneys.
• Prepare testifying experts for depositions and trials with organized files.
• Lead business development and internal/external networking activities.
• Oversee training and mentorship of associates; review work for timeliness.
