Job summary

Spring Health in New York, NY seeks a Director of Financial Reporting to lead GAAP financial statements, regulatory filings, and consolidation across units. You will oversee technical accounting matters, support mergers and acquisitions, and provide guidance to the finance team and executives.

Hybrid role in NYC office 2-3 days/week; CPA required; 7+ years in public-company financial reporting with strong knowledge of healthcare regulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license required.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in financial reporting and technical accounting in a public company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee consolidation of financial results across Spring Health’s business units.
• Lead research, interpretation, and implementation of new accounting standards and regulations with technical guidance to Finance and stakeholders.
• Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions including mergers & acquisitions, new product offerings, revenue recognition, and equity-based compensation.
• Collaborate with Sales and cross‑functional teams to review contract terms and determine accounting treatments.
• Develop and implement financial reporting policies and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
