The Role

Crescendo is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to elevate our financial capabilities. In this role, you will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for strategic insights, owning the financial planning process, and supporting organizational decision-making. You will enhance our financial model, lead budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with senior leadership on cross-functional initiatives. You’ll deliver insights from data, operationalize KPIs, and lead scalable planning processes.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional financial modeling skills and experience leading annual financial planning. Experience in SaaS, including ARR reporting, GTM Finance, and Deal Desk review, is highly preferred.

This role reports to the VP of Finance and offers significant growth opportunities as Crescendo scales.

What You’ll Do:

1. Manage and improve the financial model, including forecasts and scenario planning.
2. Lead annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting with department heads.
3. Prepare monthly financial reports, highlighting trends, KPIs, and variances.
4. Understand and report on key revenue and operational drivers, recommending improvements.
5. Support board and investor reporting with clear analysis and storytelling.
6. Collaborate with the Accounting team to streamline monthly closes and variance analysis.
7. Assist business leaders with ad hoc financial analyses on pricing, pipeline, and sales metrics.
8. Continuously improve financial processes and systems for scalability.

What We Expect From You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking, ideally in high-growth environments
• Expert-level financial modeling skills; experience with Power Query and automation tools
• Knowledge of SaaS metrics like ARR, bookings, net revenue retention; experience with GTM and Deal Desk is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership
• Ability to switch between strategic and detailed analysis
• Proactive, curious, detail-oriented, with ownership mindset
• Experience with M&A and investor reporting is a plus
