Ubique Group is a privately held furniture company serving consumer and commercial markets through a portfolio of recognized brands, digital commerce relationships, dealer and reseller networks, and direct business channels. For more than 25 years, we have built brands from inception to success and offered furniture solutions that balance form, function, and style.

We are a community of passionate, hard-working, and supportive people who believe in our business and one another. We value individual capability, the collective power of the team, and a shared commitment to the communities around us.

The Opportunity

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis leads how Ubique Group plans, measures performance, and makes decisions. This role owns the company planning cycle and serves as a senior financial partner to leaders across sales, operations, supply chain, sourcing, and marketing.

You will lead the Annual Operating Plan, rolling forecast, long-range planning, and the financial view used by the executive team, board, and lenders. As a hands-on player-coach in a lean organization, you will develop models and analysis directly, coach the Sr. Manager, FP&A, and help shape pricing, channel, inventory, sourcing, capital, and growth decisions.

What You Will Do
Planning Forecasting and Reporting
  • Own the company-wide Annual Operating Plan, rolling forecast, and multi-year long-range plan across revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, headcount, and EBITDA.
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly planning cadence, including forecast calls, variance analysis, and monthly business reviews.
  • Prepare performance packages that connect business drivers such as volume, price, mix, channel, freight, and tariffs to financial outcomes.
  • Maintain forecasting assumptions, documentation, and controls so planning is consistent, auditable, and scalable.
Commercial and Operational Partnership
  • Serve as the senior finance partner to commercial, operations, supply chain, sourcing, and marketing leaders, building trusted relationships that support constructive challenge and sound risk management.
  • Partner with Accounting to align forecasts with GAAP results, landed cost, freight, and tariff accounting.
  • Improve visibility into pricing, gross-to-net revenue, customer and channel profitability, product and SKU economics, trade spending, advertising ROI, and returns on growth investments.
  • Help improve inventory productivity, aged and excess inventory, freight and fulfillment economics, procurement decisions, cost-to-serve visibility, and working capital.
Strategic Analysis and Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Manager, FP&A, with clear ownership of recurring deliverables and ad hoc analysis.
  • Build financial models for pricing, promotions, assortment, inventory, sourcing, and capital investment decisions.
  • Evaluate profitability across retail, e-commerce, marketplace, B2B, and direct-to-consumer channels, highlighting margin drivers and cost-to-serve.
  • Partner with the executive team to translate strategy into multi-year financial targets and actionable initiatives.
Process Systems and Reporting
  • Champion automation, standardization, and continuous improvement across planning, reporting, and analysis, including practical use of AI to extend team capacity.
  • Improve the use of NetSuite, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, ADP, and related tools to strengthen data quality, speed, and analytical depth.
  • Maintain consistent KPI definitions and reporting frameworks across channels and functions.
  • Own the core planning, forecast, long-range plan, and cash models, along with executive and board materials.
  • Set priorities across competing requests and know when to automate, simplify, or decline work that does not create sufficient value.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline. An MBA or other graduate degree is preferred but not required.
  • At least 7 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • The ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and executive-level communication.
  • A track record of leading through influence in a highly cross-functional environment.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • An enterprise mindset, intellectual curiosity, and commercial orientation, with the ability to weigh trade-offs across growth and profitability.
  • A hands-on leadership style and comfort working with a lean team while building scalable capabilities.
  • A direct, transparent approach and the ability to challenge constructively while maintaining trust.
  • A commitment to developing people, strengthening accountability, and building a finance function that enables the business.
Preferred Experience
  • Consumer products, furniture, e-commerce, wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, retail supply chain, or another inventory-intensive business.
  • Multi-channel business models involving marketplaces, mass retail, B2B distribution, dealers, resellers, and B2B direct.
  • Global supply chains and logistics.
  • Institutional or private equity ownership environments.
  • NetSuite or a comparable ERP, planning tools, business intelligence, automation, and practical use of AI within finance and accounting.
Why This Role

This is an opportunity to shape the financial operating rhythm of a multi-channel business and work directly with senior leaders on the decisions that drive growth, profitability, cash, and enterprise performance. The role offers broad visibility, meaningful influence, and the chance to build scalable FP&A capabilities in a practical, hands-on environment.
