Job summary

Universal Technical Institute in Long Beach, CA seeks a Director of Financial Aid to oversee campus operations, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and lead a high-performing team. You will guide students and families on aid options and collaborate across departments to support student success.

The role requires a senior level of experience in Title IV administration and a proven track record in process improvements and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field is required; Master’s preferred.
• Ten years of professional experience in post-secondary education is required.
• Five years in a supervisory role and Title IV administration experience preferred.
• Must not be in default on federal student loans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage campus financial aid operations ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate financial aid staff.
• Oversee grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study administration.
• Provide financial aid guidance to students and families throughout the journey.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar and Student Services to support students.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
