Job summary

SMBC Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Director to lead Transformation Programs - Technology/Data within Finance Change. You will manage a portfolio of change projects, drive process improvements across planning, reporting and data management, and guide a team of junior staff in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires 10+ years in change management and strong collaboration with Technology, Risk and Compliance teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in change/project management, financial services, or related field.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of change/program management, financial operations, risk and controls, IT processes, and data management.
• Ability to develop and implement complex process and technology change initiatives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for management-ready materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Finance change projects / workstreams and produce executive management updates and presentations.
• Design and support change management programs inclusive of stakeholder assessment, impact analysis, and development and execution of key strategies.
• Execute project management responsibilities for large-scale change initiatives with execution rigor and governance.
• Contribute to design and implementation of programs/technology strategy to deliver scalable solutions.
• Set objectives and targets to measure delivery and milestones.
• Provide transparent reporting to impacted stakeholders and senior management.
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders centered on collaboration and teamwork.
• Foster development of team members and knowledge capital through learning initiatives.
