Job summary

SMBC is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead a portfolio of technology initiatives in a regulated financial services environment. You will partner with senior leaders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive governance, reporting, and transparency to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing technology programs or PMO functions.
• Experience delivering large-scale technology initiatives in financial services.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets products and credit risk concepts.
• Strong planning, budgeting, scope, risk, and governance skills.
• Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience building PMO processes and delivery frameworks.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of technology delivery lifecycles and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate technology programs to deliver objectives, timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to align priorities with goals and requirements.
• Track performance, budgets, risks, dependencies, and milestones; address delivery issues.
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements and support long-term operations.
• Prepare and maintain governance materials, status reports, and executive updates.
• Foster clear communication across teams and improve decision-making.
• Promote standard delivery practices and drive process improvements.
• Coordinate activities across teams, regions, and functions to support enterprise initiatives.
