Job summary

Great West, an Old Republic Company, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead our accounting and financial reporting efforts at our corporate office in South Sioux City, NE. This role partners with executives to drive data-driven decision-making and strengthens internal controls and reporting accuracy.

You will oversee a high-performing team, influence strategic planning, and advance automation and reporting efficiencies using advanced financial modeling tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls; SOX experience preferred.
  • Insurance or Property & Casualty experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leveraging financial modeling and analytical tools to support business insights.

Director, Finance

We are seeking a Director of Finance who brings strong analytical capabilities, advanced financial modeling expertise, and experience leveraging modern analysis tools to drive data-informed decision-making. This individual will play a critical role in translating complex financial information into actionable insights that influence strategic business direction.In addition, this role will partner across the organization, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and provide strong leadership to a finance team, guiding the team’s development while upholding disciplined financial processes and controls within an insurance environment.

Location: Corporate Office in South Sioux City, Nebraska

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop a collaborative accounting and financial reporting team

What You Bring
