Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Director Field Technology to lead security evangelism for the Defense and Intelligence Community. You will act as a trusted advisor to DoD/IC/COCOM accounts, shape product roadmaps, and translate mission outcomes into security architectures across the Akamai Defense Edge portfolio.

You will build a DoD/IC customer community, partner with sales and PR/AR teams, speak at defense-focused events, and guide field teams on Zero Trust, AI Runtime Defense, and compliant

Qualifications

• 12+ years of cybersecurity experience required.
• Cross-functional collaboration with field teams, customers, partners, and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for security and ADE products with DoD/IC/COCOM accounts.
• Build a DoD/IC customer community to feedback roadmaps and capabilities.
• Lead engagements with journalists and Industry Analysts for PR/AR support.
• Represent and articulate security trends and Akamai Defense Edge at defense events.
• Educate teams on Zero Trust, AI Runtime Defense, and related trends for mission environments.
• Serve as voice of solutions-architecture for DoD success and mission outcomes.
• Support capture and proposal teams as a technical SME on Defense Edge opportunities.
