Job summary

Vero seeks a Director of Network Implementation to lead a high-performing team delivering complex fiber infrastructure projects. You will manage 250+ node metro networks or long-haul fiber builds, handling regulatory requirements and acting as the client-facing representative for Vero.

You will guide project teams, manage budgets, and partner with environmental, engineering, and construction firms to meet milestones and ensure quality delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operational leadership in high-stakes environments across the full OSP lifecycle.
• Experience leading people managers and retaining top talent is highly desired.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication with external clients and internal leadership is required.
• End-to-end project lifecycle knowledge including utility engineering, permitting, and construction from design to delivery.
• Strong planning to develop schedules and manage activities to meet deadlines and reduce risks.
• Experience with large capital budgets and cost control in fiber networks.
• Understanding of fiber engineering and documentation standards.
• Proficient in Google Suite tools (Sheets, Maps) and Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting, development, and performance of a high-performing operations team.
• Lead bid management and contract negotiations with environmental and OSP vendors.
• Oversee multiple projects with schedules, budgets, and regular status calls.
• Supervise environmental, engineering, and construction partners and resolve roadblocks.
• Act as primary operations partner for key accounts and client communications.
• Review and approve vendor invoices; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide strategic technical leadership for OSP operations from design to testing.
• Support sales with build cost estimates and delivery timelines.
• Drive scalable processes to improve service delivery and speed-to-revenue.
