Job summary

Vero Fiber is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of our FTTH network, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive automation and security best practices. This remote role requires US work authorization and willingness to travel up to 10% for project activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in senior network roles in service provider or broadband environments.
• CCNP/CCDP or equivalent certifications.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and routing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable FTTH network infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy configurations for routers, switches, servers, firewalls.
• Collaborate with OSP, Field Operations, and NOC teams for readiness and service delivery.
• Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation.
• Oversee automation to improve management and response times.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
• Provide input into strategic network planning and roadmaps.
• Partner with vendors to manage escalations.
