Job summary

Aecon U.S. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Director, Execution Compliance to lead the processes ensuring federal projects comply with policy, FAR/DFARS, and contract obligations. This hybrid role evolves with the U.S. federal business sector and may include direct reports.

You will implement plans, train staff, support audits, and interface with federal clients and internal teams to drive risk mitigation and timely remediation while maintaining budget discipline.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 10 years of federal compliance and/or project execution experience.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, EAR, ITAR, DEAR, and GSA regulations.
• Experience leading audits, remediation, and change-management efforts.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance as required.

Responsibilities

• Administer compliance plans, controls, and processes for federal projects across the organization.
• Plan and supervise project support functions across procurement, contracts, and personnel administration.
• Monitor adherence to FAR/DFARS/DEAR; manage export controls (EAR/ITAR) and CMMC/CUI/UCNI requirements.
• Identify risks, develop mitigations, and drive timely corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate with federal clients, suppliers, subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and government entities.
• Serve as a liaison to drive cross-sector coordination and training on compliant execution.
• Participate in project reviews to assess execution compliance and share best practices.
• Maintain budget discipline and report on status, cost performance, and remediation progress.
• Support audits and reviews (DCMA, DCAA, DCSA) and lead remediation efforts.
