Job summary

BW Design Group seeks a Director of Project Development to lead the front-end development of process and packaging systems within CPG manufacturing facilities. You will guide cross-functional teams, advance opportunities through structured stage-gate reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables for major capital investments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading the development and design of process and packaging systems.
• Leadership skills with a drive to grow and expand local and regional clients.
• Experience with GMP manufacturing and distribution facilities design and operating requirements.
• Experience with layout planning, workflows, and distribution strategies in manufacturing/warehousing.
• Experience with structured pursuit and stage-gate processes in multi-discipline design environments.
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield facilities including scope development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build long-term client relationships and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of diverse and complex projects in Food, Beverage, and Consumer Packaged Goods markets.
• Lead front-end programming, planning, schematic design, design development, FEED for process/packaging systems.
• Serve as Development Lead on structured pursuit teams and manage stage-gate reviews and go/no-go gates.
• Provide client/technical leadership for capital projects and build long-standing client relationships.
• Provide expert analysis for facility and supply chain engineering solutions.
• Lead project development/execution including plans, resourcing, budgets, and scope.
