Capital One’s Consumer & Small Business Legal Team is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as Director, Assistant General Counsel for Fair Lending. You will provide legal guidance on ECOA, Fair Housing Act, CRA, HMDA and work with business credit, compliance and operations to manage risk and drive responsible lending.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, a JD, and bar admission; you will lead regulatory advocacy, advise bank units on fair lending initiatives, and help advance Capital

Qualificações

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of a state bar.
• 8+ years of attorney experience in law firm, government, JAG, or in-house.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial or regulatory matters.
• Strong knowledge of ECOA, Fair Housing Act, CRA, HMDA.
• Financial services regulatory experience related to lending.
• Ability to build relationships with business clients and compliance teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as enterprise-wide SME on fair lending laws incl. ECOA, HMDA, CRA.
• Advise business units on fair lending initiatives and compliance.
• Support compliance programs for fair lending, CRA, HMDA.
• Lead advocacy on CRA, HMDA, and 1071 rulemakings.
• Provide fair lending legal counseling as needed.
