Job summary

Cottonwood Tucson is seeking a Director-Environment of Care to oversee plant operations, safety, and emergency management for its Tucson facility. You will supervise maintenance, lead fire safety drills, and ensure regulatory compliance across buildings and grounds.

The role requires extensive experience in facility operations, knowledge of safety standards, and the ability to manage budgets and external vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or technical field preferred.
• Five+ years’ experience in maintenance or facility operations.
• Knowledge of standard and safe maintenance practices, procedures, and tools.
• CHFM certification is a plus; CPR and de-escalation training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility and ensure environment and emergency management standards per OSHA, EPA, CDC, CARF, TJC and local agencies.
• Oversee building maintenance: plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs and electrical work.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, safely, and within budget; maintain safety standards across properties.
• Lead fire safety and disaster drills; coordinate safety programs with the Safety Committee.
• Coordinate with leaders and vendors; supervise staff and manage schedules and training.
