Job summary

Lakefront Biotherapeutics, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director / Director, Search & Evaluation to identify, evaluate, and advance external opportunities that strengthen the R&D pipeline.

The role requires strong scientific judgment and strategic thinking to assess licensing, collaboration, and M&A options, partnering with governance committees. You will work cross-functionally with Transactions, Alliance Management, Corporate Strategy, Clinical Development, Research, Finance, Legal, and other

Qualifications

• Strong scientific and strategic judgment required.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional diligence or strategic projects.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate opportunities under uncertainty.
• Robust external network in biotech ecosystem.
• Able to build relationships across biotech, academia, venture capital.

Responsibilities

• Search & Sourcing: identify external programs and build relationships across ecosystem.
• Opportunity Evaluation: assess biology, preclinical/clinical data and commercial potential.
• Decision Support: synthesize data into concise recommendations for leadership.
• Due Diligence: identify risks and develop evidence-based theses.
• Strategy: conduct landscape analyses and identify emerging science areas.
• Transaction Support: assist with valuation, deal structure, negotiations.
• External Engagement: represent the company at conferences and meetings.
• Talent Development: mentor junior team members.
