Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, Search and Evaluation to drive external innovation efforts. You will screen and evaluate opportunities for in-licensing, acquisition, or collaboration, and partner with scientific experts to prioritize rare disease priorities.

You will help define scientific strategy, build external relationships, and participate in diligence and contracting. Expect collaboration across teams and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant scientific experience in biotech/pharma with BD, search & evaluation.
• Strong scientific acumen with ability to interpret complex data and clinical findings.
• Proven track record of successful evaluation and in-licensing of biopharma assets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientific leaders to define and implement external sources of innovation strategy.
• Identify leads and source new BD opportunities aligned with scientific/business goals.
• Conduct thorough scientific evaluations of in-licensing, acquisition, or collaboration opportunities.
• Serve as a key member of the cross-functional deal team through diligence, negotiation and integration.
• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, industry experts, and potential partners.
• Track industry trends and emerging tech to inform search strategies and evaluations.
• Use publications, conferences, and databases to identify promising assets.
