Job summary

MetLife’s Global Business Solutions team seeks a Director of Vendor Management Center of Excellence to lead enterprise vendor relationships and drive governance, standards, and coaching across the organization. You’ll collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Risk, Technology, and business units to optimize performance and value realization.

The role emphasizes senior leadership, cross-functional execution, and advancing enterprise VM maturity through playbooks, templates, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years in Vendor Management, Procurement, or related disciplines.
• Experience managing complex strategic vendor relationships and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment and leverage AI to improve tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise vendor relationships; develop relationship strategies, governance plans, and engagement models.
• Lead vendor reviews, governance meetings, and performance oversight activities.
• Drive accountability for contractual obligations, service levels, and outcomes.
• Coordinate issue resolution, escalations, and remediation with stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor Vendor Managers; contribute to enterprise standards, dashboards, and playbooks.
