Job summary

National Co+op Grocers (NCG) seeks an Enterprise Technology Director to guide strategy, roadmaps, and governance for purchasing systems, enterprise apps, data and AI platforms, and architecture. Lead transformative programs and align tech with member co-ops’ goals, driving efficiency and growth across the cooperative.

You will collaborate with the CIO, manage budgets, and oversee multiple teams and vendors, delivering scalable solutions and measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, computer systems or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 12 years in grocery or health & wellness chain-based enterprise technology management with budget responsibility OR 16 years total in the field.
• 7+ years driving complex enterprise technology initiatives in high-availability environments.
• 5+ years leading enterprise business systems, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
• 5+ years negotiating third-party IT software and vendor relationships.
• Up to 30% travel, including overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize high-impact opportunities using ROI, sales growth, and store-standardization metrics.
• Lead program planning across multiple tech teams, third parties, and stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor enterprise technology budget and forecast variances.
• Ensure strategies align with member co-ops and drive labor/expense reductions.
• Advise CIO on enterprise technology needs across programs and services.
• Tailor technology communication to diverse audiences and business goals.
