Job summary

Square Enix America is seeking a Director of Business Systems to lead the global enterprise applications portfolio, including ERP, finance and eCommerce systems. You will shape strategy, governance and a robust roadmap, while guiding a regional team across Los Angeles and distributed environments.

The role requires strong vendor and budget management, risk oversight, and collaboration with Finance, Compliance and IT to deliver reliable, secure platforms and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading Enterprise Applications, Business Systems, ERP or a comparable technology function.
• Experience managing a business-critical ERP and broader application portfolio supporting finance and operational processes.
• Proven leadership of technical and functional teams, including capability development and succession planning.
• Experience owning application strategy, service delivery, lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
• Strong supplier, commercial and outsourced-service-management experience.
• Experience managing significant operational and project budgets.
• Practical understanding of application integration, data management, cloud services and SaaS operating models.
• Experience operating in an audit, controls or compliance-sensitive environment.
• Strong senior stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Business Systems team, establishing clear objectives and development plans.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales Operations, eCommerce, HR, Legal, Compliance and IT.
• Represent Business Systems in planning, prioritization and investment discussions.
• Strengthen team resilience through documentation, knowledge sharing, succession planning and cross-training.
• Own the Business Systems roadmap and prioritization process, balancing operational, compliance and strategic demand.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve service quality and reduce manual effort through automation and AI.
• Evaluate applications and operating models, recommending investment or consolidation as needed.
• Maintain a prioritized improvement backlog aligned with measurable business outcomes.
• Provide executive ownership and governance of the Business Systems portfolio.
• Ensure platforms are stable, secure, integrated and well supported.
• Oversee lifecycle management, upgrades, releases and transition to sustainable support models.
• Oversee supplier recommendations and ensure value for money.
