Job summary

Square Enix West is seeking a Director, Business Systems to lead the enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring reliability, security, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business priorities. The role drives strategy, governance and operation across Finance, Sales Ops, eCommerce and Compliance, based in Los Angeles with a distributed environment.

• Substantial experience leading Enterprise Applications or business systems.
• Experience managing a critical ERP and broader application portfolio for finance and operations.
• Proven leadership of technical and functional teams with succession planning.
• Experience owning application strategy, service delivery and lifecycle management.
• Strong vendor, commercial and outsourced-service management experience.
• Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets.
• Practical understanding of integration, data management, cloud services and SaaS models.
• Experience in audit, controls or compliance-sensitive environments.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Business Systems team with clear objectives and development plans.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales Ops, eCommerce, HR, Legal and IT.
• Own the Business Systems roadmap, balancing operational, compliance and strategic demand.
• Drive simplification, automation and AI-driven improvements in platforms and workflows.
• Oversee application portfolio governance, upgrades, releases and support models.
• Manage supplier relationships, budgets and contracted service performance.
• Ensure risk, control and compliance requirements are integrated into operations.
