Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks a Director of Enterprise Risk Management to lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the institution's ERM framework. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role advises senior leadership and the Board, identifying and monitoring risks impacting strategic objectives.

The position is director-level, working across academic and administrative units with strong analytical and communication requirements, and includes oversight of internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance, risk management, or a related field.
• Experience building or maturing risk management processes or frameworks.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience working with senior leadership and governing boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of an enterprise risk management framework.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize enterprise risks across the organization.
• Conduct holistic assessments of the institution’s risk landscape and trends.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise risk register and monitoring metrics.
• Prepare risk reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Finance and other functions to align risk work.
