Job summary

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is seeking a Director of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management to lead system-wide ERM and compliance oversight, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. You will develop governance processes, coordinate risk assessments, and elevate enterprise risk considerations across the institution.

You will partner with executive leaders to monitor regulatory changes, align risk management with strategic objectives, and ensure consistent risk practices

Qualifications

• Knowledge of higher education governance, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and federal financial aid requirements.
• Experience advising executive leadership and presenting complex risk and governance matters to senior leadership and Board committees.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with ERM frameworks such as COSO ERM or ISO 31000.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the System-wide ERM framework, methodologies, tools, and reporting standards.
• Guide institutions in conducting risk assessments and maintaining institutional risk registers with consistent methodologies.
• Aggregate and analyze risk information to maintain the System’s enterprise risk profile.
• Lead the System Risk and Compliance Committee and other governance bodies.
• Establish and monitor enterprise KRIs and risk reporting practices.
• Coordinate risk reviews with internal audit, legal, compliance, and other functions.
