Job summary

Neara is seeking a Director, Customer Implementation to oversee a strategic portfolio of electric utilities in the United States from NYC. You will manage a team of 4-5 professionals, guiding multi-year deployments of Neara’s digital twin platform and embedding core solutions into customer workflows.

Ideal candidates have a proven track record in large-scale software deployments, strong leadership, and a background in computer science or engineering.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Director/Head of Implementation, Delivery, Professional Services, or a similar leadership role within a global firm.
• Track record of delivering multi-year, large-scale enterprise software deployments and digital transformation initiatives.
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field with practical technical skills enabling you to guide technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program delivery and long-term account success across a portfolio of enterprise electric utility customers, serving as the executive escalation point and trusted advisor.
• Lead, coach, and support a high-performing team of 4-5 direct reports (Customer Value Architects and Forward Deployed Engineers), driving delivery excellence and resource allocation.
• Partner with utility leaders to define ROI frameworks, map new digital twin workflows to existing processes, and ensure widespread software adoption.
• Oversee the execution of complex technical workstreams, including data integration, scripting, and platform configuration, within scope and schedule.
• Collaborate with Neara’s Sales, Product, and Engineering to feed customer insights into the roadmap and mitigate risks.
• Establish project governance and maintain structured communication with executives, sponsors, and steering committees.
