Job summary

Harnham is seeking a high-impact leader to shape enterprise data strategy within a large-scale, regulated environment. You will lead a sizeable data engineering function and drive how data powers AI, digital experiences, and business decisions across the enterprise.

You will own the enterprise data platform, define the roadmap, and enable scalable, AI-ready data products in collaboration with Data Science, AI Engineering, Governance, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise data engineering teams in large-scale environments.
• Strong ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven track record delivering AI-ready data products and real-time data platforms.
• Deep knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage and quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data platform strategy and roadmap.
• Lead a team of approximately 60 data professionals across permanent and contractor resources.
• Own the delivery of scalable data platforms, pipelines, APIs, streaming capabilities, and real-time integrations.
• Drive platform reliability, performance, observability, data quality, and cost optimisation.
• Partner with Data Science, AI Engineering, Governance, and Product teams to deliver AI-ready data products.
• Lead the shift from dashboard-driven analytics to AI-powered, conversational data consumption.
• Establish standards for data modelling, metadata, lineage, governance, and platform operations.
