Job summary

Fastly seeks a Director of Enterprise Architecture, Automation and Integration to lead the EAAI function, aligning business processes with technology and driving automation across Go-to-Market and Financial Systems.

Reporting to the CIO, you will govern enterprise architecture, manage data flows between front- and back-office systems, and champion AI-enabled workflows with a focus on security and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, CS, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Integrations, Automation, or Business Technology, ideally in a high-growth enterprise SaaS environment.
• 5+ years of managing and directing high-performing technical teams and managers of various levels.
• Proven track record of designing and managing complex cross-functional data integration pipelines.
• Strong understanding of front-office and back-office ecosystems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa).
• Deep experience in governance, guardrails, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOX).
• Outstanding communication skills with executives and cross-functional leaders.
• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management, iPaaS, and RPA.
• High technical acumen in AI technologies (GenAI, LLMs) and automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and 18–36 month technology roadmaps.
• Makes final implementation decisions and cascades strategy across the org.
• Solves complex, ambiguous issues translating business strategy into EAAI plans.
• Owns budget accountability affecting EAAI and multiple departments.
• Interacts with senior executives to negotiate and reconcile stakeholder views.
• Directs EAAI teams to develop integration methods and automate complex tasks.
• Establishes governance, standards, and security baselines; chairs the TRB.
• Audits business systems to map capabilities to applications and optimize costs.
• Owns iPaaS platform and cross-functional data pipelines (Lead-to-Cash, Usage-to-Billing).
• Drives workflow automation and digital workers for high-volume tasks.
• Writes AI governance policies for safe AI deployment in workflows.
• Partners with IT, Legal, and Compliance on AI vendor risk and GDPR/CCPA/SOX.
