Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, HR, Counseling or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Career Services, Business, HR, Counseling or a related field.
  • Knowledge of career development and services, corporate recruitment or human resources.
  • Communication, organization, presentation, analytical and computer/pc skills.
  • Proven track record of leading a team, organizing large and small scale events, and presenting to students and upper management.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the Engineering Career Center, by establishing the strategic direction of the services and programs to develop and advance the careers of undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering.
  • Hires, trains and develops Engineering Career Center staff; provides staff assessments and evaluations.
  • Develops, oversees and fosters corporate and employer relations with executives, HR and alumni and student development programs.
  • Serve on committees to represent the interests of the Center in meetings and initiatives with campuswide stakeholders.
  • Plans, creates, coordinates and presents on-campus job fairs and career preparation workshops on a wide variety of career related topics.
  • Prepares and presents related employment data and reports.
  • Conducts research and keeps current on employment trends, career opportunities, occupational outlook, salary trends and career development practices.
