Job summary

Jet Midwest in Kansas City seeks a Director of Engine Programs to lead the engine parts sales, procurement, and maintenance program initiatives. You will shape short- and long-term sales strategies, guide the team, and coordinate across Commercial Operations Leadership to optimize revenue and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a hands-on approach to negotiations and project management in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in market research or financial analysis is required.
  • 3–5 years in aviation spare parts industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to model data using statistical methods.
  • Experience with illustrated parts catalogs and manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the engine programs and sales team.
  • Direct procurement, parts trading, and vendor relations.
  • Set and drive sales strategies and objectives.
  • Coordinate with Commercial Operations Leadership.

Position Description

Title: Director of Engine Programs

Status: Full Time

Department: Commercial Operations Leadership

Summary

The Director, Sales directs and oversees the sales policies, objectives, and initiatives for JMI. Additionally, the role sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs. Also, the job recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential, manages the sales team and creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sales team.

  • Professional, polished communication skills – oral and written
  • Knowledge of Quantum Software is helpful
  • Regular interaction and coordination with team members at all levels of our supply chain

Education & Experience
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in market research of financial analysis
  • Have ability to problem solve and work cohesively within a team
  • Possess 3-5 years of experience within the aviation spare parts industryHave ability to build mathematical model using statistical methods
  • Have experience with illustrated parts catalogues and maintenance/component manuals
  • Love efficiency and can help build improvements in processes

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of the Director, Engine Programs, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, the majority of your workday. Less than 5% of your job duties will require the ability to: walk long distances, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The noise level is usually low, as consistent with an office environment. At times, some light lifting may be required, up to 25 lbs. These job duties are performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
