The Edge Development Group seeks a Director of Commodity Analytics & Pricing in Houston or Dallas, TX. This senior role shapes pricing, procurement, and analytics across power and natural gas for Fortune 200 clients and sophisticated enterprise engagements.

You will lead a team of managers, analysts, and data scientists, partnering with Sales and Operations to craft strategic solutions and present complex market data clearly to executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in energy markets, pricing, structuring, risk, procurement, or analytics.
• Strong experience in power and natural gas with PJM knowledge and ERCOT, ISO-NE, NYISO, and MISO familiarity.
• Executive presence with comfort presenting to Fortune 200 clients and senior sales leaders.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and analytics strategy for power and natural gas.
• Join strategic pursuits and executive client meetings, turning market data into procurement and hedging strategies.
• Structure large-load solutions including renewables, VPPAs, behind-the-meter generation, sleeved transactions, and data center opportunities.
• Own supplier relationships and oversee RFPs, bid evaluation, and pricing strategy.
• Lead a team of managers, analysts, and data scientists, and guide the product direction for proprietary procurement and risk platform.
• Own the business direction for a pricing and procurement visualization platform, guiding its evolution and client value.

We are partnering with the energy advisory division of one of the largest competitive power companies in the U.S. to find a Director of Commodity Analytics & Pricing.

The company helps commercial, industrial, and institutional customers decide what to buy, when to buy, and who to buy from. It combines the entrepreneurial feel of an advisory business with the scale and market expertise of one of North America’s leading energy companies.

This senior commercial leader will shape market strategy, pricing, procurement, and advanced analytics across both power and natural gas. Sitting between Sales and Operations, this Director serves as the technical commercial partner to Sales, regularly joining strategic pursuits, structuring complex solutions, and presenting to sophisticated enterprise clients and C‑suite stakeholders.

What You'll Lead:

• Pricing and analytics strategy for power and natural gas
• Join strategic pursuits and executive client meetings, turning complex market data into clear procurement and hedging strategies
• Structure sophisticated large-load solutions, including renewables, VPPAs, behind-the-meter generation, sleeved transactions, and data center opportunities
• Own supplier relationships and oversee RFPs, bid evaluation, and pricing strategy
• Lead a team of managers, analysts, and data scientists, and set the product direction for the company’s proprietary procurement and risk platform
• Own the business direction for a proprietary pricing and procurement visualization platform, guiding its evolution and client value

What We’re Looking For:

• 15+ years of experience in energy markets, pricing, structuring, risk, procurement, or analytics
• Strong experience in both power and natural gas, with deep PJM knowledge and broad familiarity with ERCOT, ISO-NE, NYISO, and MISO
• A command of market fundamentals, technicals, hedging, and risk strategy. This is a pricing and structuring role, not a trading desk.
• Executive presence and comfort presenting to Fortune 200 clients alongside senior sales leaders
• Experience leading technical teams, with a collaborative, curious style that works across multiple offices
• Relevant energy-market certifications, relevant CFTC registration or certification, or compliance credentials are a plus
