Job summary
8am is seeking a Senior Partnerships Leader to own a portfolio of multinational partners and drive revenue growth across embedded finance and fintech initiatives. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and elevate 8am's market stance through strategic collaboration.
You will report to executive leadership, shape partner strategies, and craft QBRs while ensuring alignment with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Legal.
Qualifications
- 10–12+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or commercial partner management in payments or embedded finance.
- Experience with large, multinational payments companies including networks, acquirers, sponsor banks, or BNPL providers.
- Experience launching regulated financial products in partnership with Risk, Compliance, and Legal.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of strategic partners, driving strategy, commercial outcomes, and internal alignment.
- Lead embedded finance and fintech product initiatives from strategy through launch with Product and Engineering.
- Establish an engagement model with quarterly business reviews and executive reporting.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, renewals, and incentive structures with Legal and Finance.
- Drive cross-functional execution to deliver partner-driven initiatives on plan.
- Identify and pursue new commercial and product opportunities within partnerships.
- Build executive visibility and trust through top-to-top engagement.
- Measure partner performance with dashboards and operating reviews.
- Anticipate and manage risks to core revenue streams.
