Basic Resources Intimates is looking for a Head of DTC to build and lead our e-commerce business from the ground up. Reporting to the SVP of Sales and Merchandising, this person will own the full P&L for our direct-to-consumer channel across True & Co, Olga, and Warners. This is a rare opportunity to launch and scale multiple brand websites with a lean, focused team — shaping strategy, assortment, content, and marketing from day one. The right person will drive healthy, sustainable growth by pairing strong product curation with brand-right storytelling and smart, well-timed promotions, all while operating like an owner.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full P&L for the DTC business across True & Co, Olga, and Warners, setting the strategy and making the trade-offs needed to deliver healthy, sustainable growth.
- Lead the ground-up launch of each brand's e-commerce site, standing up the tech stack, workflows, and processes needed to go live with minimal resources.
- Partner with merchandising and design to curate product assortments that convert and reflect what each brand stands for.
- Direct the development of brand-right content, creative, and marketing campaigns in partnership with internal teams and outside agencies/vendors.
- Build, execute, and coordinate cross functionally a commercial calendar that drives volume during key selling periods without eroding brand equity or margin, and syncs up with key wholesale partners
- Recruit, hire, and lead a small, high-output DTC team, setting priorities and clearing the way for them to move fast.
- Use site analytics, customer data, and P&L reporting to identify what's working, diagnose what isn't, and reset priorities accordingly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, IT, finance, and wholesale teams to keep the DTC business aligned with the broader company.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DTC/e-commerce, with a track record of growing e-commerce brands profitably and sustainably.
- Direct experience launching e-commerce websites, ideally with limited resources or in a startup-like environment.
- Strong P&L ownership and financial acumen; comfortable making margin and investment trade-offs.
- Proven ability to build assortment, content, and promotional strategies that work together to drive both growth and brand health.
- Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), Google Analytics, and digital marketing/media tools.
- Collaborative and thoughtful leader, with the ability to work cross functionally to problem solve and achieve the best results
- Experience hiring and leading a small team, with a hands-on, self-starter approach to getting things done.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
