Job summary

Converge Strategies, LLC is seeking a Director, DOE Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of architecture-engineering task orders with the U.S. Department of Energy.

The role emphasizes adaptability, sound judgment under deadlines, and strong client-facing communication, with no required engineering license. The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, and scope across concurrent task orders, coordinating with electrical, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines, and ensuring design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience, including direct oversight of multi-disciplinary engineering teams or projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering or A&E design projects.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills; comfortable serving as the primary interface with federal clients.
• Project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
• U.S. citizenship is required for this role, due to security clearance and DoE facility access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CSL's primary point of contact for the Department of Energy client across the task order portfolio.
• Manage schedule, budget, and technical scope across multiple concurrent task orders to reduce risk and keep projects on track.
• Review project requirements and obtain clarification on conflicting, missing, or vague items.
• Coordinate with partners and technical leads to ensure deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget commitments.
• Track deliverables through the design lifecycle and coordinate submittal and RFI review.
• Manage subcontract administration, including invoicing and progress reporting.
• Plan and lead project meetings; maintain minutes, action-item tracking, and follow-up.
• Identify risks early and escalate with recommended actions.
• Support project closeout with complete deliverables and documentation.
• Represent CSL professionally in all client and partner engagements.
• Travel as needed for site visits and client meetings.
