Job summary
Regent LP is seeking a Director in Beverly Hills to lead the full investment lifecycle—from due diligence and deal analysis to negotiation, close, and post‑acquisition value creation. This senior buy‑side role emphasizes building theses, running diligences, and actively operating portfolio companies after close.
The ideal candidate brings deep distressed/special‑situations experience and will partner closely with firm leadership and the Chairman, owning deal execution and portfolio oversight
Qualifications
- 8+ years in private equity, investment banking, or related buy-side roles.
- Direct buy-side experience across diligence, modeling, valuation, and deal negotiation.
- Experience overseeing a portfolio company post-acquisition, ideally in distressed contexts.
- MBA or advanced finance degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate investment opportunities against strategic priorities and develop theses.
- Lead due diligence with internal teams and external advisers.
- Build and maintain three-statement financial models for acquisitions.
- Prepare investment committee materials and summaries.
- Negotiate deal terms and financing structures with leadership and counsel.
- Provide financial/operational oversight during transitions.
- Partner with portfolio management on liquidity, cost structure, and restructuring.
- Track portfolio performance against underwriting assumptions.
