Job Description

As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s marketing activities, developing strategic communication plans, and driving marketing initiatives. You and your team will create and execute a diverse range of online and offline marketing campaigns aimed at building brand awareness, positioning us as a thought leader, and expanding our sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Development: Translate business objectives into a robust and effective marketing strategy to achieve company goals.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a full-time marketing team of six and a network of freelancers.
  3. Agency Oversight: Manage the performance and output of our content and digital marketing agency.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders across sales and product management to ensure alignment and support for marketing campaigns.
  5. Sales Support: Provide the sales team with collateral and content to enhance prospect conversion.
  6. Demand Generation: Utilize a range of tactics—including ABM, paid social, webinars, and email marketing—to generate MQLs and drive pipeline growth.
  7. Content Marketing: Oversee the execution of content marketing activities such as thought leadership, blogs, eBooks, webinars, and videos through our agency, ensuring high-quality output.
  8. Digital Presence: Manage the company website, ensuring content is optimized for SEO, and build our presence across social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
  9. Marketing Automation: Ensure seamless integration of marketing and sales activities, setup and maintenance of workflows, and personalized content delivery through our Marketing Automation Manager.
  10. Performance Analysis: Track and report on metrics such as traffic, CAC, MQLs, conversion rates, attribution, web analytics, and pipeline growth.
  11. Department Leadership: Direct the marketing department, aligning activities with business goals and optimizing resource allocation.
  12. Marketing Plans: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive brand awareness and profitability.
  13. Budget Management: Oversee and report on the monthly marketing budget.
Requirements
  1. 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a B2B tech environment, including experience in directing a marketing department.
  2. Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and drive pipeline growth.
  3. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present at the board level and inspire a team.
  4. Broad experience across online and offline marketing channels.
  5. Strong relationship-building skills and experience managing external marketing agencies.
