Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the Digital Assets custody capabilities in New York, driving the end-to-end delivery of wallet services, key management, and operating workflows. You will translate outcomes into a prioritized backlog, define requirements, and collaborate with engineering to deliver deposits/withdrawals, transfers, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of product management or technical product management experience in financial services or market infrastructure.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, or related market infrastructure.
• Hands-on technical fluency: collaborate with engineers on APIs/integrations, read logs, use data for validation.
• Strong understanding of custody operating models, wallet architectures, and cryptography concepts including MPC/HSM.
• Experience delivering platform products end-to-end with clear roadmaps and backlogs.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (PMs, designers, engineers).
• Strong communication skills for collecting requirements across partners.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery for Digital Asset Custody capabilities by translating outcomes into clear requirements and a prioritized backlog.
• Write detailed product requirements, define acceptance criteria, and partner with engineering to estimate, sequence, and deliver custody features.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Risk to refine requirements and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Evolve custody services and integrations (APIs/events) toward trading, settlement, and accounting platforms with emphasis on resiliency and controls.
• Contribute to custody security design by capturing control requirements and supporting audits (MPC/HSM usage, access governance).
• Own end-to-end feature delivery across custody workflows including UAT, runbooks, and go-live readiness with operations.
• Support build-vs-buy evaluations by gathering requirements and documenting tradeoffs across security and cost.
