About usDental Revenue Group is the dental business of Physicians Revenue Group, Inc. and its family of commonly held companies, a healthcare revenue cycle and practice services organization founded in 1997 and headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, with more than 3,000 team members serving providers in more than 45 states. Dental Revenue Group serves dental practices, groups and the people who own, buy and back them: revenue cycle, recare, front office training, payer contracting, back office services, capital and practice transitions, education, and technology. The OpportunityDentistry is consolidating the way medicine did a decade ago, and most practices still buy the business of dentistry from a dozen vendors who have never met each other. We are building the alternative: one partner for practices, groups and the investors behind them, delivering the economies and infrastructure of a dental support organization without requiring a practice to sell to one.We are hiring the Director who will build it. This is a founding role at the start of a multi-year program, backed by an established, profitable healthcare company with the operating infrastructure, capital and client base to support it. You will design the operating model, build the partner network, stand up new practice services, and lead the go-to-market alongside our executive team. This role is expected to grow into leadership of our dental business as the program scales.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign the operating model that decides what becoming the complete dental authority actually means in practice: the services we offer, how we deliver them, and how we prove they work.Build the partner network from nothing: laboratories, equipment and supply distributors, manufacturers, lenders, brokers, technology and education providers, so practices get real economies of scale without giving up their independence.Negotiate the group agreements that make the financial case, in dollars, for why a practice is better off with us than alone or inside a traditional DSO.Launch back office and practice support services, credentialing, compliance, administration and financial operations, that don't exist yet inside this company until you build them.Build the practice transition and capital offering from the ground up: valuation, sale preparation, buyer matching, and lender relationships that treat dental cash flow like the asset it is.Be the face of this business in the industry: dental societies, group purchasing organizations, study clubs, and the rooms where the next wave of consolidation gets decided.Shape how an entire industry gets trained, the curriculum and certification model for front offices, billing teams and the leaders who run them.Sit at the table when our technology gets built, as the person who has actually run this before and knows what a practice, a group and an investor need to see.Hire and lead the team this program needs. You are not inheriting an org chart. You are writing it.QualificationsRequired10+ years in dental operations, including 5+ years in a dental support organization or multi-location dental group at director level or above, with multi-region scope.Direct P&L ownership and experience integrating acquired or de novo practices.Real relationships in the dental industry: laboratories, suppliers, manufacturers, lenders, brokers, payers or dental societies.Experience building a function or business line from an early stage, including hiring and leading a team.Working command of dental revenue cycle, payer contracting, practice management systems and practice economics.Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or a related field.PreferredMBA, MHA or equivalent graduate degree.Experience on the buy side or sell side of dental practice transactions, or with practice lending.Experience partnering with a technology or product team as the operator voice.A visible presence in the dental industry: conferences, associations, study clubs, published work.Job InformationJob Type: Full-timeLocation: On-site (Downers Grove, IL)Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 + annual performance bonusBenefits:Medical, Dental & Vision401k w/ company matchPaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysLife Insurance
