Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Director of Demand Planning to oversee enterprise forecasting, demand planning, and supply distribution across the MUSC Health network from the Consolidated Service Center. You will own the statistical demand signal that guides purchases, stocking, and distribution to hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory facilities.

Using Tecsys Supply Chain Planning and related data systems, you will govern forecasting models and inventory strategy,

Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering, analytics, or other similar field is required. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience - Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain experience with direct accountability for demand planning, forecasting, or inventory planning is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership or people-management role.
• Demonstrated experience with an advanced planning system or demand planning platform (Tecsys Supply Chain Planning, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or equivalent) is required; Tecsys, Workday, and healthcare or multi-site network experience is preferred.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC) is preferred.
• General - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; MS Office; advanced Excel; SQL/Power BI preferred; knowledge of forecasting, inventory theory, and safety stock concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise demand planning and forecasting for MUSC Health.
• Govern forecasting models, planning parameters, and inventory strategy balancing clinical needs with supplier constraints.
• Direct substitution and conservation strategies with Value Analysis and clinical leadership during disruptions.
• Drive standardization and cataloging of products across MUSC hospitals and clinics.
