Job summary

Snorkel AI is seeking a Director of Data Partnerships in San Francisco with a strong track record in data licensing and strategic partnerships. You will own the end-to-end sourcing, qualification, and negotiation of data partnerships, shaping the data supply strategy and terms with executive leadership.

You’ll lead negotiations, manage partnerships beyond signature, and build a scalable function with clear standards and metrics to drive growth and value across the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading commercial dealmaking roles in data licensing or partnerships.
• Ability to source, qualify, and negotiate data partnerships end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of licensing terms, IP, and data rights.
• Proven track record closing deals and delivering measurable value.
• Experience building and leading autonomous teams.
• Sharp commercial judgment with ability to influence leadership on strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the data supply strategy and long-term plan, including terms and downstream demand.
• Source and qualify holders of proprietary data; manage the funnel end-to-end.
• Drive qualification standards and partner with Research, GTM, Delivery, and Legal.
• Match opportunities to commercial structures and build business cases.
• Lead end-to-end negotiations at executive level with Legal on key terms.
• Manage partnerships post-signature through activation, growth, and renewal.
• Establish standards, pricing framework, and governance; hire and scale the function.
• Advise leadership with a market view on assets, value, and competitive dynamics.
